What Glasgow actually needs

One campus, three different buildings.

The SEC site gives you the Hydro, the Armadillo and the exhibition halls within a few hundred metres of each other, and they are three completely different production problems. An arena show, a seated auditorium and a flat exhibition floor need different rigs, different positions and different amounts of cable.

Glasgow is also usually the northernmost date on a UK routing, which means it is the one where a plan either holds up or falls apart. Working to the same camera language we used in Manchester or Birmingham is the difference between a consistent run and a scramble.

Scotland is a full travel day for us either way, so we plan the advance properly and turn up rigged rather than improvising on arrival.

Tour production One plan carried across a run so every venue on the routing looks the same.
Town halls and conferences Internal broadcasts and hybrid conferences, private or public, without touching your network.

Where we have worked

Venues in and around Glasgow.

OVO Hydro SEC Armadillo and the exhibition halls Conference and civic venues across central Scotland
The same standard everywhere A crewed rig with a director cutting live, broadcast audio off the desk, and a programme record of the show. The postcode changes, the standard does not.
Connectivity comes with us Bonded 4G and 5G across multiple carriers plus Starlink. A dedicated tested venue line gets used where there is one, and guest WiFi never carries a broadcast.
Paperwork before it is asked for Insurance certificates and RAMS with the quote, which is what most venues in Glasgow will want before they let us through the door.

From village halls to the arenas. dwmedia has delivered live production in 15 of the 25 major UK arenas, and the same crew and kit covers a single-camera stream in a local hall. From £500 for a single camera, from £1,950 for a multi-camera day. See the estimator ›

Glasgow questions.

Do you travel to Scotland?

Regularly, and the Hydro is on our arena list. Scotland is a full travel day each way, so we plan the advance properly rather than turning up hoping the venue will improvise with us.

Can you cover a conference at the SEC?

Yes. The Armadillo and the exhibition halls are different jobs from the Hydro, and we rig for the room you are actually in rather than bringing an arena setup to a seated auditorium.

Can you do the Scottish date of a tour?

Yes, and it works best when we have done the earlier dates too. Same camera language, same crew, and a get-in that does not start from scratch just because it is the far end of the routing.
