Motorpoint Arena sits in the middle of the city, which is excellent for an audience and awkward for a production vehicle. Dock slots are timed, the streets around it are busy, and a get-in that overruns has knock-on effects the venue cannot absorb.
So the planning here is about access as much as cameras. Which entrance, what time, who signs us in, and what the venue needs in writing beforehand. Sorted a fortnight out, it is a non-event. Left to the morning, it costs you an hour you did not budget.
The civic buildings around Old Market Square are the opposite problem: easy to reach, harder to rig, with fixed sightlines and rooms that were never designed with a camera in mind.

How far ahead do you need the access details?
A fortnight is comfortable. Dock slots here are timed and the streets around the arena are busy, so an access plan agreed early is the difference between a smooth get-in and losing an hour.
Can you work in the older civic buildings?
Yes. Fixed sightlines and rooms never designed for cameras are normal for us. Positions are agreed with the building, nothing is fixed to the fabric, and cables are matted where the public walk.
